I agree, coming across Montana the speed limits in the car varied between 75 and 80 at different points on I90. They had recently changed the limits from 75 to 80. So I agree, parts of some database was not updated.

Speed determination is from 2 completely independent sources. The accuracy of the GPS speed will also be sensitive to the number and position of the acquired satellites. I would not be concerned with a small difference.
