Default 2016 pricing

When can we expect 2016 pricing? I have a 16 on order . The car may arrive before I know the total price? (Probably not!)

I'm in the same boat. Hoping for no more than $1000 base price increase. Front cameras and flat bottom steering wheel are the only upgrades over the 2015s.

Flat bottom wheel shouldn't affect the price. Don't forget about the power hatch / trunk pull-down, though.

Make room, I'm hoping for the the best but expecting the worst. $2K wouldn't have me hanging a rope over the light fixture. We gotta support the bottom line.

My guess, which is worth exactly what you paid for it, is a $1000 increase on 1LTl, and another grand for the 2LT and 3LT packages (to pay for the cameras). I wouldn't be surprised if the Z51 package is a little bit more expensive than in 2015, too.

but you can probably take much more financial pain than that for this special treat you've been waiting so long for. I wasn't before, but now I'm thinking hard about the comp. seats and they're a couple thousand extra. I'll keep thinking up ways to justify...

I'm going to go on record with NO price increase for early adopters (of which I am one).

My dealer told me today I was price protected on my 2016 order. I'm not really sure what that means. Can anyone explain?

Price protected on a 2016! I seriously doubt that. There is no way a dealer can offer that.

Confused me too. An email I received from them yesterday said, "You are now price protected at this point."

Going to specifically ask them about this today.

Is tomorrow, May 14, the day when orders can be accepted and allocations given out? What about pricing? Sure would be nice to know what my car will cost before the order is placed. What are the latest rumors?

The most that can mean is that your price is fixed at the moment the order is accepted by GM - not the dealer. You avoid any price increases that may occur between that time and delivery.

Tomorrow could be the beginning date for the first consensus when dealers are told how many if any of their allocations are available.

As to price protection, this confirms my often posted statement that many dealers do not understand the ordering process.

GM made a price increase in early March, I would think this was in anticipation to the 2016's. I do not see another increase until late September.

I doubt that highly. They bumped the price of the car and z51 package quite significantly back in March 2014 and then they bumped it again at the start of the 2015 MY production. I would put money on a price increase at the start of 2016 MY production. Why? Because they can.

The march increase I am making referece to was March 2015, not 2014.
