No base cars have the tow hook mounts. Z51's before a certain Dec 14 date do not have tow hook mounts. While the battery cover has provisions for 1 long tow hook, the rear can be better served with a shorter one, though the long one will work. They are great if you race your car and get stuck in a sand/ gravel trap. Also the best way to pull your disabled vehicle on to a flat bed on the hwy/street.
I got these from http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B..._o00_s00Amazon , one for the front and one for the back. Very well made. Vendor states that they are for the Z06 and will fit Z51 built after 12/14/2014.
Edit: This is not my car, it is from the vendor's site.

Reason: more information
I'm having a difficult time trusting any of these aftermarket solutions. How do we know they have been structurally tested and are as strong (or stronger) than the OEM forged hooks?
Just looking at the ones in the picture above, how can you be sure the fine threads on the heim joint or the small bolt attaching the eye on the heim joint are sufficiently strong enough to allow towing a 3,500 pound automobile?

I showed the tow hooks to a friend of mine that has been a machinist for over 40 years and he was impressed with the product. They sure looks substantial to me and I would bet they are far stronger than OEM.
