To start off I must state I have never owed a truly beautiful car before the C7, some fun cars, lots of trucks but never a really gorgeous car before.
So I'm going to get a haircut, pull into the parking lot and slowly looking for that corner spot away from all the door whackers and such. Three young boys probably 10 or 11 are skateboarding in the lot in front of me, one of the kids face just lights up like a Christmas tree. He proceeds to toss his skateboard to the ground, gets down on his knees and doing the praise god thing in front of the car. I pretty much just burst out laughing and gave him a big thumbs up. He just watched in awe as I parked, eyes looked like the size of pizzas. In a better world it would have been awesome to give this kid a ride, he would have talked about it for months I'm sure. I think a Corvette is in this young mans future and he totally made my day.
Came out of the grocery store the other evening to find three high school girls in their prom dresses having their picture taken in front of my car. They were embarrassed, but I stepped back and said to get all the shots they wanted. Complimented them on how nice they looked and then drove off laughing.
I was picking up food at my favorite restaurant tonight and as I was walking from the car to the restaurant a older woman (probably 80) pulled up in a Red Jeep Wrangler (if that isn't strange enough) and she gets out and says...."nice car" to me....I thanked her and thought how cool is it that she was driving a Jeep at that age.
I was at a track event and there were late model Ferraris, Porsches, Bimmers, etc.... I pulled into pit row after my session and many bystanders/audience loudly exclaimed "wow! now that's most badazz!" Or "omg I'd take this one!" Needless to say, I thanked them and didn't disagree.

It never gets old and I don't think it'll ever stop.
I remember seeing Vette's as a kid and it stopping me in my tracks.
Let the fire burn. It inspired me to be able to own one. Maybe you just did the same for that kid.
