What is the proper tool for removing the 4 plenum stanchion bolts that go into grommet for side fuel rail covers? My deep sockets are too short. I did find where the torque going back in is 89 in. lbs.
Do the wire bundle grommet/clamps that attach to the plenum lip just pop out or is there a special removal tool? I don't want to break/damage anything. I did find info for removing plenum in tech section but they didn't show tools used or describe how wire runs were removed from plenum. Any help to be appreciated.

Question, are you going to remove the insulation under the plastic cover?? I was thinking about that. BTW I have a 1/4 inch socket set and there just deep enough to get those stanchions loose.

Not removing insulation. Just going to carbon fiber part.
My 1/4" deep socket was too shallow as well. Used a small box end wrench.
With the wire bundle retainers, you just need to pull them out...hard. The second time out and beyond is much easier.
UNPLUG the connectors first before pulling out the retainers. When the retainers release, it's abrupt and will yank on the connector wires. Not much slack.
You can always grind a couple of flats on a socket and just let the stud extend through the opening for the ratchet. Use an adjustable wrench on the flats.
