Default Which Corvette Generation Are You?

We all have our personal preferences for Corvettes, but what if we are actually lusting after the wrong Corvette? What if based on various, totally scientific* and irrefutable peer-reviewed** studies, I can prove which Corvette generation you should actually own, or the Corvette that really represents you?

My brother had a C1 when he was in college. That is what got me interested in vettes. I have had each version starting with the C3 and currently have a C7 coupe. My favorite body style is in fact the C4, but obviously The C7 is a much much better automobile. I loved them in fact.

Totally agree with C2 #4 observation...Nothing more beautiful than a Split Window Coupe. Had four of them.

Also owned every generation except C7 to date. Hoping to make a $10 C7 TR Coupe raffle win @ the NCM a Sep B-day present to self.

What matters is what you got. The rest are memories.

Strickly C7. Although I like the C5, and the C6. Was actually looking for a 2010 Grand Sport, when I figured, what the h*ll, just go for it. So I bought a 2015 C7...

I've loved the C2 ever since I saw it in Heavy Metal (the movie.) I'd love to own one someday. There is still time...

The C4 has some kind of appeal to me that probably relates to being of the right age (16) when that car was popular. It doesn't compare to the C2 in any way in terms of cool factor. I got to drive one once and it was every bit as intimidating as I thought it would be.

The C3 looks so cheesy to me - like the rest of the 70s. I see that body style and instantly think of big lapels, polyester pants, disco, etc. All cheesy . I would love to get a chance to drive one (although maybe not 1975's model!)

The C7 is fantastic, and a joy to drive. I wish I had a local street I could do some repeated 0-60 launch control runs on.

I have owned a C5, C6 and now a C7 Z06 and each was better than the last, but I have always like the 1961-2 era Corvette which is a C1 but it doesn't look at all like the 1954 in the picture by the original poster. Here is a 1961:

You may just have changed my opinion. That is one beautiful automobile.

Your description of those that lust after a C3 includes the following: "You couldn’t care that your V8 makes less power than a Prius." Huh? What? Last time I checked a Prius does not have between 390 and 435 HP. Maybe I better double check the Prius website. I love my C7 but if I could get my hands on a 1968 427 convertible, I would be a very happy man.

The best cars have front fenders higher than a hoodline.
The C3 is like a well shaped woman.
And mine goes topless!
My first vette, hopefully one day soon i will have a C5 as well.

Hello All,
I have owned a C2 and currently own a C3 and between the two I really enjoy the C3. I was rather amused as I read the initial post and noted that both Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon July 1969 on Apollo 11, less than a month after my C3's birthday of June 25, 1969. MMMMMmmmm can everyone say C3?
Regards,
Kelly

I'm 45 years old and to me the C7 is by far my favorite, I think it's the best looking and definitely the best overall performer. For many years the Corvette was a clunky ill handling slow "performance car" that really (IMO) was not worthy of the name Corvette. They made a massive step forward when the C5 came out, a slightly smaller step forward with the C6, and yet another massive step forward with the C7 (an even more massive step than with the C5) I'm excited to see what lies ahead for the C8, C9, C10, and so on.

VERY tough call.... "Liked" my '64 & '65. But loved my '66 427/390.... Still kicking myself for letting her go.

Owned 2 C5s - great DD's. Still drive my '04 every day of the year.

C7 is in a completely different league than any other generation.....an amazing, technological wonder. A sports car that puts anything close (and not so close) to its price tag to shame

So.....depending on what I want at any particular time....on any particular day..... They are all my #1 choice..

I voted for the C2 because it was a bad *** car back in the day and I loved the one's I had...........but now I would not trade my GS for anything.......it has it all.......
