What about military pricing?
I have a certificate that is good until 8-04-15. Is it valid for 2016 model?

The CU program that expires on 7/14 (available for 2015 and 2016 non-Z06 Corvettes) allows for the qualified customer to purchase a Corvette at GM Supplier pricing.

The CU program that goes into effect on 7/14 (available for 2015 and 2016 non-Z06 Corvettes) allows the dealer and customer to negotiate the price and then the customer receives a $750 allowance (rebate). Supplier pricing is gone on the CU program.

The Military and Educator programs are in effect until 9/30. These programs allow Supplier pricing for 2015 and 2016 non-Z06 Corvettes.

I am not surprised. The program came into being as part of a program to save GM. It is quite clear GM has weathered that particular storm.

I expected the CU Program Pricing to die but I am surprised GM is putting something else in its place. Now, my question is: can I use my GM World Card points in combination with the new CU program discount?

Sounds like the big discounts for the 2016 Corvette Stingray base and Z51 is over.

Wow, only $750.00 discount? So hard to believe.

If this is correct, and that's the way I read it, those that bought the 2014 and 2015 MY's made out like bandits.

If this discount of only $750.00, please confirm.

So my order is already in with a TPW of 6/20. Pricing has not been provided yet as it is not available to my dealer. If supplier pricing goes away, I am canceling my order and am not going to be happy.

How does this news affect current orders with assigned TPWs?

Wouldn't the large dealers sell at invoice and then reduce by the additional $750?

To be clear, based on what Ken posted, Supplier (and Employee) pricing is not going away. Tie ins such as Credit Union are changing (going awat) amd Military are returning to what they were before 2009 or whatever the date the tie ins began.

As I said, I am astounded they lasted this long and any thinking person who follows the industry will likely agree with me.

Yes. But if one was quoted supplier pricing due to the CU path, will the dealer still have a way to honor quoted $$ ?

Definitely simply by adding or subtracting $1.00 from the quoted price.

For sure. Supplier was $200 over invoice ...if memory is correct. Or they will sell for $950 over invoice - $750 rebate = old supplier deal. Missing will be the back end money GM gave the dealers for a supplier deal.

Technically no. I bought through the Military Program and at the time it was scheduled to expire on 31 May 2014. My (VERY large Forum dealer) said I was REQUIRED to PROVIDE PAYMENT on or prior to that date to receive the discount, period. Turns out, GM renewed the program on 30 May and it wasn't an issue, but I was sweating it and had already booked my flight to pick up on 31 May.

Sounds better for me if I go to lease my next DD if I buy GM due to being able to get supplier or CU then see what save the most.

Supplier is a Pricing Program as if the MSRP is that price. CU has been tied into that for several years that have more to do with politics than with real life. The post July ? pricing will be a discount and not Program Pricing.

I do not find a problem with the change and if the new CU discount can be used along with GM World Card points I will have even less than no problem.

I don' think that you will see dealers selling the 2016 MY Stingray base or Z51 at dealer invoice.

With the past CU discounts dealers were essentially giving the C7's away.

Now they have a great excuse not to sell the C7's so low in price. Puts more money in their pockets. I suggest there will be some discounts, but they won't mirror or come close to the discounts in the past on these cars.

As for those people who have cars on order with no official pricing via dealers, they may not be able to get the CU discount as the C7's are billed to the dealer once they are completed after the build process, not at the time of the order.

I am quite sure we will hear from potential future owners who have builds in the pipeline.

Perhaps people like Dave@Kerbeck, Mike from Criswell, and Rick Conti will chime in on this.

I know there are also CF members here that either work for Chevy dealerships or have an association with a Chevy dealer.

Now is the time for dealers to be totally transparent to the potential C7 owner and buyer.

Big Kudos to Ken Fitchner for being the first to post this very important information and provide a heads up to C7 buyers.

To those in the know:

- Does the CU Allowance affect the dealers bottom line, or are they reimbursed by GM?

- Can you get the CU Allowance and take GM Credit Card bonus points as well?

Thanks. Expect my LB coupe to arrive mid-July
