Default Starter button wish list.

I would instantly buy a cool starter switch, switch cover, etc. were a vendor to make something even a bit more stylish than the one in my '15.

Heck, even colouring the instant one would be better. Much better.

BTW, flame suit ready to wear and comments welcomed.

Peace, out.

You do realize that 2016 starter buttons have been redesigned, right ??

Dave@Kerbeck posted a video that shows the new one in his thread about the new B92 hood and new front camera display. It is aluminum with a "piano" black surround...

This is the OEM stock part - not a painted or aftermarket version...

Here's a link to Dave's video post...

Might work.

Peace, out.

I think to replace it, the whole cluster surround must come out..... That's a lot of work for 1 button.

I can't even see mine behind the steering wheel while I'm driving. I don't care what color it is, as long is the car starts when I push it.

It is a start button, I never paid much attention to mine except the accessory light located within the button.

I know its just a button, but I kind of like it (enough that if the part was cheap, I would go through the trouble of installing it).

I loved the red start button in my Acura TL. It felt as though something special was happening when I pressed the button. Sometimes its the subtle things that make me happy I guess, lol.

What happens special with a C7 has to do with what's under the hood and what you hear out the back end not with the color of the button you push.

This car must be getting very impressive when we want to critique the appearance of the start button. Did the key switch bother you people in the generations before the push button start? LOL.

Default Chevy agrees.

Huh? People knocking this relatively reasonable post make me wonder.

I DRIVE my Corvette as I have driven all five (5) previous ones, and stuff I can see/use from the DRIVER'S seat interests me most.

Thus my LT3 interior and CF dash.

I don't spend endless hours washing and waxing and detailing and polishing exhaust tips and cleaning wheel barrels and painting over parts of the car I cannot see. I could go on...

Your car; your choices. Ditto mine.

Peace, out.

PS: Chevy seems to agree with my request witnesseth the new and improved start/stop button for 2016.

I would rather have an ignition switch that uses a key. If nothing else, some type of safety interlock. My 2015 with a manual transmission starts with just a push of the button. In gear, no foot on the brake or clutch, just push the button, it starts.

my manual will not start unless the clutch is depressed.
