You do realize that 2016 starter buttons have been redesigned, right ??
Dave@Kerbeck posted a video that shows the new one in his thread about the new B92 hood and new front camera display. It is aluminum with a "piano" black surround...
This is the OEM stock part - not a painted or aftermarket version...
Thank you. Saw that yesterday but want a better view of it...close up.
Might work.
Peace, out.

I know its just a button, but I kind of like it (enough that if the part was cheap, I would go through the trouble of installing it).
I loved the red start button in my Acura TL. It felt as though something special was happening when I pressed the button. Sometimes its the subtle things that make me happy I guess, lol.
This car must be getting very impressive when we want to critique the appearance of the start button. Did the key switch bother you people in the generations before the push button start? LOL.
Huh? People knocking this relatively reasonable post make me wonder.
I DRIVE my Corvette as I have driven all five (5) previous ones, and stuff I can see/use from the DRIVER'S seat interests me most.
Thus my LT3 interior and CF dash.
I don't spend endless hours washing and waxing and detailing and polishing exhaust tips and cleaning wheel barrels and painting over parts of the car I cannot see. I could go on...
Your car; your choices. Ditto mine.
Peace, out.
PS: Chevy seems to agree with my request witnesseth the new and improved start/stop button for 2016.
I would rather have an ignition switch that uses a key. If nothing else, some type of safety interlock. My 2015 with a manual transmission starts with just a push of the button. In gear, no foot on the brake or clutch, just push the button, it starts.

my manual will not start unless the clutch is depressed.
From: Calgary, AB. There's a reason why white was the only color offered on every year Corvette. Proud Canadian German Jamaican!
