Quite satisfied with the quality and looks. I got the best price from my local dealer. Finished off the install with purchase of scrivets from Amazon instead of rivets.
Now I know what my car is going to look like when I install the same part. What size scrivets did you use? I bought 1/4" at Lowes. How many did you use?
I used 10 in place of the rivets, drilled a 5/16 hole to install. Also,I put the car up on my race ramps for easier installation. There is no need for a 90 degree drill for drilling holes for scrivets.

Thanks. Just returned the scrivets I purchased at Lowes and I will order the ones from Amazon. Don't have any race ramps so I will have to use a 90 degree adapter on my cordless drill as I don't think there will be enough clearance with the wheels on the ground. Don't think my BMW jack will reach the jacking pucks on the Corvette.
I did some Duplicolor stuff that's kinda like plastidip. Gf hit some retread and messed it up a bit. Better than messing up paint. Anyway, it turned out alright. Just a tiny bit darker that the plastic. It's already been dinged up by some rocks so I think I'd skip painting unless you have to.
A friend of mine installed a similar Z06 Stage 1 splitter on his Stingray and before he mounted it, he sprayed the underside with bedliner material to help prevent damage on any future scrapes.
Although this splitter is up pretty high and doesn't stick out too far so most should be safe.
I've already destroyed one so I pretty happy that I spent $90 instead of $1000. The small rubber flaps on mine are wearing holes since I lowered it and put some DTC60 brakes on it. It takes a good bit of abuse but better yet, it probably saved me $500 in damage to my bumper.
I prefer inexpensive curb finder to "Poverty Splitter".

I used 1/4" plastic rivets in the two center holes just to minimize the hole size... I drilled just a 1/8" hole for the rest and used bumper cover screws with a flat washer and U-nut as the backup from inside the bumper..
All I did was use 4 additional sheet metal screws right through the bottom of the bumper. No mollys no rivets and guess what It hasn't fallen off yet.
That will probably work fine but I just wanted something that would give me maximum retention and would be easily replaceable. As far as all the additional holes, it doesn't matter because I'll always have the splitter on the car.
By using the 5/16th plastic scrivets they secure the splitter to the bumper very well and there are no gaps between the splitter and the bumper. They are easy to push in and are easy to remove if necessary. The cost is very low, and it is a OEM GM part. Ford Motor also uses the same scrivet.
As for bumping the splitter into a parking curb. If the C7 is left at original factory delivered height you will have no problem pulling into a parking stall that has the removable front parking curb/stops/bumpers.
If the C7 is lowered you have a good chance of damaging any splitter.
Here's an image of the 5/16th scrivet mant C7 owners used, including myself.
Did you reinstall the little winglets? Wondering if they are needed.
I did not reinstall the 2 lower air dams for the Z51. I left them off so when I go on trips I can use a Novistrech bra. It isn't meant to go over the air dams and from what I've read, their really not necessary.
