When the C7 first came out someone on the forum had a thread that had a diagram of how luggage (probably the Thule C7 luggage) could fit in a coupe's trunk. I have done a search for that thread and came up dry. Anyone have a link to the thread?
I would suggest that as a C7 owner who might want to travel, is concerned about space to look into a product called "ebags".
My wife and I use these "ebag" products, the "packing cubes" to travel with. They are great if your a person who travels. They are cheap and functionable. Come in many sizes and colors.
But I agree that using this luggage is a big fat waste of space. I have this luggage, and I only use the duffle bag. I like that piece so much that I bought another one. The roller bags have only about a half of the space they take up available as usable storage, the rest is frame.
Strictly carry, but they don't have any wasted space from any sort of frame. Lots of pockets, and a hard sunglasses case built-in. They actually have more room than the roller-bags.

Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Igor, would you give me a hand with the bags?
Igor: [doing a Groucho Marx] Certainly, you take the blonde and I'll take the one in the turban.
I bought two 28" spinner type luggage bags from Ebag for my '12 GS; they also fit perfectly in the '15 leaving enough room behind the seats to store small cooler bags with drinks and snacks and room for the wife's purse. The rule is; "Honey, you may take anything your little heart desires and buy as many souvenirs as you want on this road trip......it just hast to fit inside of your 28" luggage bag!"
Sounds like you only use the duffle bags, but what's your opinion on the 'backpack' ??
I have considered getting that one, but there are no decent PICTURES on GM's crummy websites....
It's roomy for a little backpack, but plain, IMO, not very much style detail, The sunglasses case on the top of the pack is enormous (much bigger than the duffle or roller-bag), and it has only a few pockets.
The Messenger bag is quite nice for carrying a laptop and a few other goodies. It's padded, and the back pocket zips completely open, and has a few more pockets inside. It's the only piece that doesn't have a sunglasses case built in, but it has a hard pocket for a phone.
Do the duffle bags have wheels or are they strictly carry?
The ones we bring on cruses have wheels (they collapse and often fit under the bed when empty,) Similar to the rolling duffel pictured. Lots of options, look around and ebags is a good choice but watch the sizes.
Duffels come in many sizes and types. Some have wheels.
