Android Auto

My dealer has been looking into Android auto for my 2016 Corvette. this is what he sent me today: " Android will roll out for your Vette around January".

Here is a link to an interview by Chevrolet on June 24, 2015. The person being interviewed says Android Auto is now shipping with the 2016's Corvettes.

I bought a 2016 Corvette. No Android auto yet. Apple play, yes but I don't have an Apple phone

Well, what if I own an android phone now, order Android auto option, and then later change phones in a year or 2 to an Iphone??? Guess I'm SOL then huh?

No, I'm pretty sure the 2016 will support both systems once the software is updated.

Try downloading Android Auto (AA) to your Android phone first and then connect from the phone to the USB port in the center console. Hopefully the car will then recognize AA.

Current 2016s don't have the Android Auto software in them yet. GM said it would come later. Hopefully as a software update to existing 2016s.
