The wait after ordering...

Talked to them today. Nothing until first week in August. A little annoyed but I will wait until then. I sent in my order 1 July but didn't finally get an email confirmation until the 23rd so you are ahead of me.

Juanvaldez, did you get in before all the pricing changes? are you price protected?
This is my first Corvette, which makes the wait a little harder for me. Also sold my 565hp Supercharged Mustang Cobra last month, so I am without a weekend "fun" car for first time in over 12 years. Reduced to driving my 14 year old Honda Civic beater with 280,000 miles on it.. Ugh.
Should be worth the wait though.
Here's hoping GM gets a big shipment of painted roofs in this week. LB for me. What color is yours?

If you are buying local, and a smaller dealer it could be awhile, ask them to get you proof that they have allocation for the car. ie; If they have allocation for 8 cars then 4 could be Z51 cars, but they will still be behind some big dealer like Kerbeck, who may have allocation for 650 cars, half of which could be Z51 option.If you don't go to 2000 soon you may want to question your dealer, cancel and go to a larger dealer.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I ordered a Z06, 3LZ, Long Beach Red with Spice Red interior package and there are constraints on both. Although this color combo was on display and debuted at the NCM Birthday Bash. Imagine that.
I want what want, so I'll wait to get exactly what I ordered from MacMaulkin.
The delay is all on GM, not the dealer.
Shame on GM for not having supplies needed to build Corvettes, or any vehicle they manufacture, with the options offered and that their customers specifically ordered.
That being said, good things comes to those who wait. And I know I'm not waiting in vain. Hang in there, your new Corvette will be in your hands soon.
