The wait after ordering...
Been reading the forum for months, and after seeing all the raves from numerous members, I finally decided to pull the trigger and order a C7 Stingray.
2016 Racing Yellow 7M 3LT Coupe w/ Z51, Jet black interior
DUP: Red/white/blue stripes
J6E: Yellow caliper
CFA: Body color roof panel
FE4: Magnetic selective ride control
5Z2: Z51 satin black/yellow stripe wheels
36S: Yellow custom stitch
IWE: Suede-wrapped upper interior trim package
FAY: Carbon fiber interior trim
5ZG: Carbon fiber wheel center caps
TTV: Carbon flash painted spoilers / mirrors
EYT: Ornamentation Ext Emblem Nameplate Carbon Flash Pkg
As of 7/27/15, the age of order is 51 days...
but...
STILL NO TPW!

The dealer told me the delay is due to the Z51 constraint...
and if i change the order to a non-Z51, the order will be processed quicker...
Forum members, give me strength to endure and wait! lol
Was wondering... how did everyone else spend their time waiting for their C7?
I've been spending money on accessories for my C7...
...which isn't even built yet...
let alone a TPW...
Patience.....

Have a heart to heart with the dealer, if you know and trust them, and if you don't get realistic reassurances cNcel and order with a big forum dealer like Mike Furman, Rick Conti or Dave Kerbeck. You will likely have an order in progress within days or weeks, rather than months or not at all.
First: I ordered mine in May 2013 months before any were built! Talk about a wait!
Second: Download the Owner's Manual and most important, the Infotainment Manual. You'll want the PDF's anyway as they are searchable! Lots to read and don't panic with all the options in the Infotainment system, no real need to use most! Voice command works great and avoids going thru menues. Also consider using SD cards to store music. I have two, one with about every CD I own and another lower capacity one with only "Oldies" some of which I converted to MP3's from Youtube! Have over 500 songs that play in a shuffle mode as soon as I get in the car. No 2nd sides of hits, all music I picked and was able to drop XM since I found that is mostly what I was listening to.
Third: There are many accessories to consider also information you won't find in magazine articles etc. In fact I have documented 35 for my C7, most are mods, many small but a fun read while you wait. Below is a link to one on "Tire Chatter" you'll not find the details it discusses unless you search a lot of old forum threads. (Searching the forum is a great way to get answers your reading may cause you to ask.) For example it's not different Ackerman geometry in the C7 since folks report it goes away with all-season tires. I show the causes and why all-season tires eliminate or mitigate the issue! Although I have some anecdotes about "Chatter" nothing will really prepare you for an attempted full lock, slow speed turn when pulling out of a parking slot at 35 degrees! It fact it's so bad you'll quickly follow the advice of not turnig the wheel more than a 1/2 turn from full lock and use a "K" turn! One incident mentioned is a fellow who posted he pulled out of a parking slot right after he got his car and on a very cold night. It vibrated so bad he stopped, looked under the car to see what broke! His wife did not want him to continue to drive the car but rather call the dealer and have it toed! It's that bad! The GM simple "It's normal" doesn't cut it!
The other 34 PDF topics are listed at the end: http://netwelding.com/Wheel_Chatter.pdf
Have fun!

And they are terrific to deal with. Best buying experience I've ever had.
If you get frustrated and abandon them, Rick Conti at Coughlin got me mine. You can take either courtesy delivery at a dealer nearby to you or NCM delivery in Bowling Green so you don't have to travel to Columbus OH to pick it up.

I also decided to build a small collection of diecast Corvettes for bookshelf (C1-C7), which kept me occupied looking at auction sites and keeping me in a "Corvette Sate of Mind".
.Also hung out here every day to get educated on my new car and also followed my car's progress w/ the Chevy CS folks.
Fortunately no constraints on mine and my dealer had lots of allocations so I had mine less than 8 weeks.
Tapping fingers every day just waiting on the order to (at least) get picked up.
