Default Acceleration issue....

I've noticed that when I pull up to a stop light on a four lane road I almost always experience an acceleration issue. I am not trying to race off the line but by the time I shift to second without having used 1/4 of my throttle I'm generally 3 to 4 car lengths in front of the other drivers. This car seems to be deceptively quick because I don't feel like I'm going fast at all. I'm not complaining it just makes me laugh. I'm really not trying to race the minivan but I'm sure they think I'm showing off!

Be careful around motorcycles. They will deflate your ego.

I notice the same thing. I got up on the gas at the onramp to get on the tollway today and before I even hit the main lanes I was at 100. Base car is crazy fast. I can't imagine what a Z06 is like.

That's the thing. I'm not racing and I know there are people who really care but I don't. I'm more embarrassed that it looks like I'm racing. Don't get me wrong I like to use the go pedal but not generally off the line unless I'm trying to change lanes on purpose. This is just sheer unintentional.

Ok. Thanks for the diagnosis. I'll call and make an appointment to get that checked out. I just thought I had a fast car with a lot of torque but now I realize I have an ego issue and physical ailments. Your the best!

This is normal. Press gas 1/4 thotel. Away from others from a stop light.

Simple fix-don't press down as hard on the gas peddle. I find that the harder I press on the gas peddle the faster the car goes.

It's safer to drive if there isn't another car next to you when traveling. That way if he makes A
Stupid move and drifts in the other lane your not there for him to side swipe.
I take off normal for the C7.it's apparent you do also.

My slower acceleration kit will provide you with the anemic performance you desire. Consists of a blocking device (wood block) placed under the accelerator petal, providing only a portion of throttle movement that the manufacture provides. Order now, only marked down to a fortune.

I have that problem, also. Except when next to a Prius, they always get the jump on me.

Now wouldn't it look funny...embarrassing really... if that minivan actually took off faster than us?
All of the other cars at that intersection expect faster take-off speed from us.
It's a Vette.
Those other cars "want" to see lead us the pack.... and let's face it, we all saw enough of that to want a Vette in the first place.

C'mon. Let's be honest with each other.

LOL you are probably spot on. I think the reason I noticed it yesterday is because I've kind of been lulled to sleep by the performance. The C7 doesn't always feel as fast as it is. 460 HP is a lot even though we talk about 650 plus all day anymore.
