I had a hard partition from Exotic Vettes (Crazy Cowboy) in my C6 but am using the two-piece shade that came stock in my C7 3LT. It provides a soft partition that keeps the few objects I keep toward the front of the trunk from moving backwards. If you carry bowling *****, watermelons, or similar heavy objects in the front you'll need something more substantial, but for my umbrella, jacket, hat, and a few other things it works fine.
