AVC = Auto Volume Control

Press the menu button/icon on the Audio screen. In the menu items you'll have either Auto Volume (options are Low, Medium - Low, Medium, Medium High or High) or you'll have Bose AudioPilot (options are On or Off). I think all C7's have AudioPilot, but I could be wrong.

Information is in the Infotainment Manual.

What trim level do you have? The 2LT and 3LT I know come with Audio Pilot instead of AVC. I'm not certain of the 1LT. But in the radio settings options there should be an option to turn either Audio Pilot or AVC on or off.
Subscribed. Wondered the same thing myself.
(Same, '15 model)
Depending on the model, it's in the radio settings, either AVC or Bose Audio Pilot. I don't know about AVC, but Audio Pilot is worthless. It's supposed to increase and decrease volume as the noise level in the cockpit rises and falls. On my car it did virtually nothing but make the sound quality worse.

I can't tell that BAP does anything at all in my car, including reducing the sound quality.
Wow my car must be an exception. My 2015 2LT convert reacts too strong with Bose AudioPilot turned on. It's the same with the top up, or down.
If the volume is at a comfortable level when I'm stopped, then it's way too loud at driving speeds. If I set it to a comfortable level when I'm moving then when I stop I can't hear it.
It became so annoying that I turned AudioPilot off, and adjust the volume as needed from the steering wheel. It requires less adjustment than when Audiopilot is turned on.
I seldom use the radio. I mainly play my MP3s on a flash drive in the USP port behind the screen, but it responds the same way when playing the radio.
I wish there was a sensitivity adjustment to fine tune AudioPilot's response. But we know what wishing, and hoping gets you. 00000

15 model with Bose. How do you set it so the music will increase with speed. Turned on doesn't seem to gain volume at all.
Doesn't work at all in my '16 either. What do you expect from Bose? Always remember, "Friends don't let Friends buy Bose." That aphorism hasn't been around for at least two decades for nothing.
I can tell the difference in volume when coming to a stop in my '15 3LT coupe. Its more noticeable when the volume is up a bit. On mine, when its turned down at a light it also sounds muted, like the highs and mid-ranges are muffled. I don't notice any change in volume when the ambient noise goes up and down.
I'm with Old Yellow, my AudioPilot works as advertised, but varies the volume way too much. Pleasant listening levels at speed, drop to much too quite when at a standstill.
