3-1=2 years old

op, do yourself a favor and get price quotes from some of the volume dealers before you buy. you will probably be surprised at what you find out. that $64,000 asking price is close to what you can get the same 2016 model for comparably equipped.

They called tonight to tell me, they won't come down one penny. I told them they just got the car in, they would flip in two days. If they didn't come down. I will find another. They told me good luck. I liked the color combo, I'll see what I find at Carlisle in two weeks.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

Sorry to hear they wouldn't budge. I'm sure you'll find a better deal on a car with the specific combo you want.

There are other cars out there and good for you for standing your ground. That dealer may be sitting on the car for a while unless someone comes along that doesn't know what market value is.

I agree with this concept, but don't believe the $8,500 3LT package on a 2014 has contributed to $6,500-$7,500 of the depreciation over just a 2 year period. It would take 6+ years before a C7 with 3LT would be priced within $1,000 - $2,000 of an indentical C7, but with 1LT. Just my thought.

I thought many members here that have replied to this thread might want to see what the C7's might be selling for at auto auctions. I am posting the results of actual sales that have taken place between 1/1/2015 and 8/7/2015. This data includes both 2014 and 2015 models. Once these cars go to the dealership lots, mark up is usually $3000 to $4000 over the auction sales price.

This data may provide some insight as to after market pricing. The original MSRP of these C7's and condition are listed on the sales sheets. I have not included that information here. Most of these are low mileage and condition is usually rate 4 to 5 which is the best or top conditions.

Enjoy the data......

For those selling > When the dealer gives you their low ball offer on your C7 trade, and uses the "auction price" excuse, show em the list above with your much higher counter offer.

I bought my LRG Z51 coupe with NPP, chrome wheels and a number of other options in April for $59. It has 7800 miles on it at the time. So mine is very similar to the one you are looking at - leading me to believe that $64 is too high. Other dealers in my area are asking $61 to $63 (at least thats what I see on their web sites). I have no idea what they are actually getting.

64k for a 2014 3LT??? I would laugh at the salesman. I would offer 53k. You can get a new 2015 2LT for close to the same price of your offer of 59k. You would also get the A8 instead of A6. I would keep looking if i were you.
