Default Visor Warnings

Already tired of seeing these warning notices on the sun visors. Any way to remove these without destroying the underlying material?

Try the search, there have been a lot of threads about how to do this, some successful, some not so much. Good luck!

Not everyone has been successful in removing the stickers from suede, it's apparently easier if you don't have a 3LZ. I had no problem removing them from regular plastic visors, but not so much with the sueded material. The other option is to cover them with a black or carbon-fiber vinyl, which are sold by many vendors.

Cover them up rather than remove them.

I removed mine from suede, 2015 3LT, and you can't tell they were ever there. The second one I did was easier then the first and I think that it was because I took more time with it. Used a hair drier on hot instead of a heat gun and left the heat on the sticker for a much longer time to insure the glue was broken down more. Peeled right off, then used a damp microfiber towel with a little "Krud Kutter" on it and the remaining residue came right off. Make sure you have the damp microfiber towel ready to go when you peel the sticker off. The residue comes off faster if it is still warm. Good luck.

Since it seemed to be a crap-shoot on whether I could get them off cleanly, I just covered them with CF vinyl stickers.

Eventually I'll purchase a used set of suede visors and try and get the stickers off cleanly. If it works, I'll just swap out my current visors.

Following all the threads on this issue, it seems to be more an issue of '14s don't have much issue, and the newer the car, the harder it appears to be to remove the label.

Whether this is an issue of a new type of glue being used, or same glue, but it just gets easier with age is anyone's guess.

And I would recommend using a hair dryer rather than a heat gun.

Probably the safest way.

if your just going to cover them up. why not try to take them off first, and if that is unacceptable THEN cover them

Funny, mine was about 10 days old when I removed mine in about 15 seconds each with a heat gun.

Why do folks have to make this harder than it is?

+1 for a heat gun. 5 minutes and they are gone. If anything is left over, just wipe it with a microfiber towel with some 3M Adhesive Remover sprayed on the towel (not the visor). Like it was never there. Why make it harder than it is and why spend $?
