Hey all just an FYI, I had the PDR update done a few weeks ago the track display is now gone from the display on the Z51's. Also the new update on the PDR is worthless. The picture is no different. I think its Chevrolets way of getting away from the entire "track" car.

Someone stated on another thread that the update may need to be done twice-back to back in order for it to take.
Never ceases to amaze me how incompetent many dealers are when dealing with the C7s, especially when it comes to updates and guidance from GM, i.e. software updates and oil change instructions.
This is a glitch in the update process. It doesn't always take the first time and you have to do it again. As the other poster mentioned, check the software version.

I had mine done two weeks ago. Not worthless at all. The green tint is gone and the track display was unaffected. I think your problem may not be so much with the updated software as with your dealer's installation of the update.

Well thank you. I'll talk to the dealership tomorrow. Just figured since I'm having so many problems with my A8 it was another way for GM to get around calling it a "track ready car" I will do a follow up
Yep. I just had the same problem installing Windows 10. It didn't take the first time.
My icons were gone and it still said Windows 95 on the startup screen.
But then, I installed it again and everything was fine.
I no longer have a startup sound. But, that's okay. I didn't use it anyway.
I spent two hours this morning at the dealership not getting my PDR update ! Why? They gave up, told me they will call me when they find out why they could not do it , I asked did you use the slot in glove box? No they did not !!!! Clowns !! I had to get to work, I will be standing over them next week while they try again, no I will not wait in the waiting room and no I don't want to go get a coffee( I will have one in my hand)
Ok I went back to the dealership an boy don't I feel stupid. Yes I was correct. Once you update the PDR you LOSE the Track screen on your DIY. Again Chevrolet is trying to cover themselves saying the C7 is a track ready car. More questions you can PM me. This was before. New Track Screen looks same as Sport mode.

Are you sure that the "link to drive mode" options didn't get screwed up when the update was done?

Wrong, the PDR update doesn't delete the track dash display. Here is a pic I just took of mine and my PDR was uodated, and works perfectly, several weeks ago.

It took two trips to dealership but nothing ( screens) has changed except the picture got clearer on PDR playback, im happy with update.
By the way, has anyone seen the review of the ATS-V? It has the PDR option and what I find amusing is that you'll see that the brake level never goes past 60% either. Meaning they've put it in another car, revised the display a bit, and still didn't fix a basic bug. Just sad.
