So.. took the new 2016 to have the passenger side window re-tinted due to some dust bubbles right in the middle of the pane. Installer ended up scratching the inside of the window.
Probably a 4" long scratch, so the company is covering the replacement of the window. They are sourcing an OEM window and will pay for a glass repair company to do the work. Anyone have any advice / positive or negative experiences with having window replacement done?
Body shop did it ... turns out not very well .. I PM'd you.
Thanks for the PM...
I talked to the best local Chevy service mgr about the situation and he said he would have his Corvette tech do the work if he has the glass provided to him.
I agreed with this - better have someone who has experience with opening up the Vette door panels doing it than just some random auto glass or body shop guy.
Very good. After about 15 minutes of adjusting and readjusting .. I got my Passenger door glass lined up and adjusted using the driver side glass as a fitment guide. I need to get my Windows tinted too.
Window tinting completed. Looks great. Took a lot more effort and time than I had planned to get this done, but its done... The tint shop and dealer were easy to work with, so all in all, I'm satisfied.
