And everybody knows the Hellcat is a faster car. It was a typical driver's race and that can happen at any given time. 10mm is a drag racer. I see that some of the so-called members come up with lame excuses about the race. 10mm deserves all of the credit because the odds were against him. Put a couple of mods on a C7 A8/A6 and it can give you some problems. They will only lack on the trap speed against a car with much more power like this one at the drag strip. This race is an prime example when a C7 gets out on you......good luck playing catch up.

I'm hoping some show up to the 1/2 mile event in September. We see a ton of them around here, always doing 35 in a 45 in the left lane.
If they do a Trackhawk, as they say they have shown dealers I'd be all over one.
That all being said the C7 has an amazing amount of traction on such a tiny tire. The A8 really makes good use of it.
Now just imagine how much faster you could have been if you had one of those 170 degree t-stats

Cool outcome because the Hellcat owner started off being a dork and 10mm was polite and realistic. It was also cool that the leaner, meaner, good handling C7 got it done as it was the underdog.
What kind of man derives his swagger from how fast of a car he bought? That's just weird. I promise you, there are always much faster cars bought and driven by someone else.

Awesome job and congratulations. A win is a win, regardless. The guy was a fool for calling you out but not being able to get the most out of his car but hey, that's his worry.
A couple of things - you said he has 247 HP more than you? How can that be if your car has a CAI, Headers, and a canned tune? Granted, he will still have more HP regardless but he does also have over a 1000 lbs more weight.
And he clearly cannot launch OR shift that HC. But it does NOT matter - he called you out and you shut him down.
About the flashers - while I don't blame you at all (especially after he talked trash) if YOU are ok with someone doing it to you when you lose, then fine and dandy. If not, it's pretty lame and regardless IMHO fairly ricer-ish. Sounds like you get it so no worries there either.

I had an S8 trying to race me once, kept looking over at me and laughing at each red light (when I wasn't engaging). If I'm not mistaken, those are $120K cars..I hope your car is faster than mine if you paid twice what I paid, dude! People's superiority complex drives me bonkers.

Yep it's over 1000lbs heavier, and that's (in my humble opinion) stupid. Dodge should not have made a 4400lb pony car.
I agree about the flashers, if I called out someone that I didn't have covered and they did that....that's life lol.
