38 days ago my dealer placed my order and the status was 1100, but there was 50% constraint on Z51. (the only constraint associated with my order.) Today the order was accepted by GM and went to 2000. I am curious to know at this point generally how long does it take for a TPW to be issued?

You still have to make it to 3000 for a TPW. Mine was quick, three days, from 2000 to 3000. I hope yours is just as fast!

From 2000 to a So. Cal. delivery in 5 weeks sounds really quick. Doesn't the car sit in BG for inspection for a week or two once it is built? I would guess it would be 8-12 weeks from 2000 to delivery. But I could (hopefully) be wrong.

See my signature for more details but mine went from 2000 to delivery at MacMulkin in under 4 weeks!

Good luck with yours!

i didn't realize you were in Ca so maybe add another week?

They only stay at bowling green for a week or two if they go for quality control i believe. Not all of them wait there for no reason.

Your TPW will likely be October 12th. Once your car comes off the line, figure 3 - 4 weeks until it arrives at your dealer.

It all depends on if the factory has a firm commitment from their supplies for the constrained part or parts associated with the Z51 package since most orders processed added that option.

3-4 weeks AFTER it comes off the line?? Def not my experience. I'm thinking you'll go to 3000 fri or monday and get your tpw by the end of next week. I'm going to guess you'll have your car by halloween

By Halloween is possible but in my experience not likely. The OP is on the west coast (CA). I'm in Corvette sales at a west coast dealer (WA); new Corvettes take 3 - 5 weeks to arrive at my dealership after they're produced. That's a fact.

i believe you. I've heard cali takes forever, but i don't think every car is held for a week or 2 like the OP thinks, correct?

You need to check with dealer once it gets to 4B00 "B" not 8. That's Bayed and that's where the car is in limbo until released at 4106, 4150 is Dealer Billed. Then car will be shipped.

Absolutely correct. It's been my experience that the vast majority of cars are released for shipment within a couple of days after coming off the line. It's the transportation process that takes forever. Cars sit for days or even a week waiting to be loaded onto rail cars, then waiting to be trucked to dealers after being unloaded from the rail cars. I have a customer's car that was unloaded off the rail car a week ago (in Portland, OR) and it's still waiting to be trucked to the dealership.

The most important status is 2000. You are on your way. TPW is probably about 3-4 weeks out. Good luck and enjoy.

Here's my time line so far:

7/17 - Order Placed 1100
8/17 - Status changed from 1100 to 2000
8/20 - Status changed from 2000 to 3000 no TPW
8/24 - Status still 3000 but TPW 9/14 assigned
8/28 - Status 3300 with TPW 9/14

Hope this helps

I'm sitting at 4300 waiting for a rail car to come out to the Bay Area CA. Hope it isn't in Ohio too long!
