Bump to the top for you.

Assuming you are wanting to correct orange peel? if so just to let you know my '16 NRB is really bad too

yes ... looks like it was painted with a roller .
worst paint in all the 30+ cars I have bought .
GM know they have a problem and are spending millions on new paint process , but what about us ?

Makes me sick each time I hear or read this crap ...picked mine up last week ...it was just ok ...but by GM standards mine must be rated a 10 !

Still had a drip line op etc. wet sand a new big dollar car ...and GM could care less ....

If enough of us keep complaining MAYBE they will step up and fix the problem. When you go back to the dealer all they say is that they never heard of the issue or they say it looks fine to them . Are you kidding me ?
The fact is regardless of the cost of the car, the paint just plain stinks.
My 25,000 VW has paint like glass .
I put the cover on it so I wont have to look at it in the garage until I decide what I am going to do with it .
Shame on me for not looking at it more carefully before I took delivery .

First of all...the dealers are told what to say and how to respond ..give me a break ..

What should happen at minimum is...GM should issue a credit for a 2017 or 2018 Vette ...lets say about $ 4000. now that would be honorable and fair...but GREED will dictate..

Orange peel on the 'vettes shouldn't be a surprise. Owners have complained about it since the first C7 was delivered. If paint quality is so important, why buy a C7 in the first place?

The orange peel on mine is no worse than on my wife's Honda. And the only comments I've ever gotten on my paint are how beautiful the car is.

no comment ...if you are content ..that is great ...if there is not a MAJOR
issue with the paint ...why is GM spending almost 500 million for a new paint facility ....

BTW this my 4th Corvette and the worst paint of the bunch.
I have a friend with a 07 that looks like glass and did from day one.

Lots of folks have seen my car with its typical C7 OP. The only person that commented on it happened to work at a body shop.

Don't like it? Then don't buy it.

If they are selling, there is no reason for things to be changed.

Outstanding we almost went 7 days without a paint problem.

let’s just skip to the end:

- My paint sucks, I paid 70K and the paint was put on with a roller

- Mine is perfect! What is wrong with you!

- All cars have OP and the new industry standard will be a roller.

- My billion dollar Mercedes has OP

- My POS Hyundai is like glass!

- You Suck!

- No You Suck!

Hell I think my car looks great

I would never wet sand the clear coat, its much too thin to mess with, you are only inviting problems by wet sanding.

When the average person looks at paint on a car the only thing they see is the color they don't stare at it looking for orange peel.

On your next corvette have it shipped without paint, have it painted your way drop 20 grand on paint, then maybe you might be happy if you can get someone to paint to your standards.

I would venture to say ...they same folks that find it ok for their new Vette to have a lousy paint job....would go crazy if they went out to eat and spent 50 bucks for a meal that was not perfect.

Heck my Toro lawn mower has a better paint job than my Vette..
