<p>"the air is running". Sorry, not descriptive enough. Are you talking about the radiator fan? If so, that is normal.</p>

Not true. The C6 and C7 cars will turn it on occasionally to control humidity as I have had it explained. You will hear the fan run, and it is perfectly normal.

More specific the ac turns on but is only blowing hot air like at full speed. Luckily I have caught it several times by checking on it. It's coming from inside ac vent not the outside

To repeat: The A/C cannot run if the engine is off.

A "FAN" blows "AIR".
I was referring to this sentence:
...And according to GM, running the fan will kill the bacteria that causes the smell. (To further clarify, I am making the assumption that the person who wrote "control humidity" was really thinking "control condensation/mildew")
