Default Spring Mountain Level 2

Just came back from my level 2 driving experience at Spring Mountain. I'm even more impressed with Spring Mountain than I was on my Corvette owners experience I did last October. The instructors and the facilities are second to none! First class all the way.

I know they have a level 3, however I don't see myself doing level 3. But, I WILL be back to do level 2 again. Want to see if I can improve my times. The PDR is a great addition to your driving experience at Spring Mountain.

If you are on the fence, listen to everyone here on the forum and go enjoy your time on the track.

Any idea what the difference between Owner's Experience and Performance Driving 1?

Also, does OE allow you to skip PD1 and go staight to PD2?

I have been wanting to do the third day of level 1 and the 2 days or level 2 since the moment I finished the class. I need to get on the ball and make some reservations.

Currently they are working on having a TRUE level one school. When I took the 2 day owner's buyers experience last October you had to pay extra $1000 for the third day. The third day was mostly track time. However you had to have the third day prior to taking level 2.

Unless you have some documented track time experience they will not allow you to go directly to level two. Even with the buyers experience course we had a couple of people at level two which several instructors stated should hot have been there.

I hope this helped answer your questions.

I have done something similar to the owners school and wanted to go to level 2 as I've been racing, tracking and auto crossing for a long time.

I had to take a call from the lead instructor and answer several questions about my experience level. I've attended several driving schools and actually worked for one years back. After I provided him with all of that information, he determined that I was a good candidate for level 2. He also cited that the level 2 was much more involved from a driving aspect and much less involved from vehicle familiarization standpoint.

During graduation as my class completed the Owners Course in June, the lead instructor told us the school would be calling or writing us with discount offers to return for Level 2. Never heard a word. And now it appears that the Owners Course does not qualify anyone for Level 2. Puzzling.

Unless you where lucky enough to get into the 3 day course then you still need 1 more day of level 1, was always like that.

It is totally amazing they never follow up with an offer for the balance of 1 and 2 days of level 2.

I attended in July. At graduation the instructors allowed as to coming back for level 2 would include day 3 of level 1 as well. I never heard from anyone so I called the rep. that I spoke with for Owners School. She advised me that they do not have a 3 day level 1 anymore and that level 2 is only a 2 day class. I think that the returning student discount is about 300 or 400 dollars.

As much as I love owners school and Spring Mountain I'm still on the fence about level 2.

Don't be on the fence. It's well worth the money in my opinion.
