After 5 weeks I just got notification that my dealer has an allocation for my new C7 2LT coupe.
My father was a NY metro Chevy zone guy for 50 years - 1937 to 87 - and we got a couple cars via the family plan over the years. I thought that benefit disappeared when he and my mom passed away but was wrong. Time to revisit the bucket list - and a vette was on it.
After visiting a couple dealers I found one that would honor the Family/Employee purchase deal. They don't have to I guess. Looks like GM squeezed the margins on corvettes in 2016 from 9.5% to 7.5%.
So a marginal payment from Chevy to deliver an allocated car is not that interesting to many.
But now we have a confirmed order for delivery in later November and all is well. Not a Z51 or ZO6 but spec'd out a nice GT road car absent the racey bits I don't really need.
One of the best Stingray forums in the whole interwebs!!
enjoy and you can learn alot reading the posts in all the sections. I do! I've met great folks I bought mods from and sold some too. I even helped my dad sell his C7 vert! Which I know he misses.
Welcome to the forum. Lots of great guys/gals that will help you understand all the new stuff on your ride.
I used to live in GA, about 20 miles south of the airport - great place to live - hopefully I can get back there one day.
Lots of great information here . As a 2+ year CF member and a 2-year, 22,000 mile C7 owner, I can say that almost any question you have has already been answered here. Use the Search function often.
The C7 is an outstanding car in any of its forms. You will LOVE this car!
