So beyond the usual thumbs up's and "great car" comments, this vehicle is like an invitation for all other walks of life to either race past me on suburban streets or try to perform some other form of drawing of attention to others own muscle cars when within my vicinity. Is it because they are driving Mustangs and Challengers and are envious?
haha, I see it too. The other day, I actually had a guy in an old Honda Prelude try to race me off a red light. I opted not to partake. Based on the size of his spoiler, the down-force at the rear wheels would have put my C7 to shame. Plus, without a muffler, I am sure the raw power would have blown me away!
I got it yesterday on the freeway actually from a C6 Corvette, Challenger with some huge rims and a 911 Carerra Cabriolet. They were all separate occasions, but all within my hour of drive home through traffic. We weren't necessarily racing, just simply enjoying our cars too much.
I'll probably get some more today like usual.

And from someone coming off a Supercharged 392 Challenger trust me it's not a jealousy thing. I hade many corvettes want to try and run me as well and actually had some kids on an older Z06 almost run me off the road because I wouldn't play with them. There will always be A-holes out there no matter what they drive.
Same thing happened to me regularly in my 565 hp Mustang Cobra.
Be very careful with those Honda Civics and CRX's. Especially the older ones. They can embarrass you to tears from a stop light or on the highway.
Ask me how I know
It’s not just the morons that want to race. For me, it’s the people driving anything from a Prius to pickup trucks that will tailgate you then race passed and pull into your lane and then slow down to under the speed limit.

Am i alone here?
I had a lot of that when I had a Camaro, but very little since I got a Corvette.
I get it all the time. Various cars - Mustangs, yesterday it was a BMW 335, Boxters, motorcycles (really?), etc. I don't respond. I know my own driving skills and limits, but I don't want to find out how badly the other drivers skills are the hard way.
