I have noticed a brief whine when downshifting 4-3 and 3-2. Obviously not using the rev matching, as when I do that the engine blip covers up all other sounds. I don't downshift at high RPMs so am wondering what this sound may be. I can't believe it's a good thing.
The car is a 2014 with z51 and 7M. 8600 miles. At my first oil change the dealer checked and topped off the differential fluid, and the car is tight as a drum so don't think it has anything to do with low diff fluid. Any ideas?

My best guess is the synchros, not 100% sure on what type the corvettes transmission utilizes but my best guess would be double/triple cone synchros which can cause said whine.
