Default Dreaded Check Engine Light

I noticed it on this afternoon, 6,000 miles on a 2015 with no mods other than a K&N air filter about six months ago. I checked the spark plug wires, as much as possible, since I read some had this happen when a wire had backed off. All seemed good. The car still ran great so I am hoping it is something simple like a sensor with an easy fix. If it stays on the next few days I will get it in to the dealer next week when I had already planned on taking it in for the creaky top TSB. Other than that what an awesome car, best Corvette we've ever had.

Get the code read at an auto parts store for free and post it up. Could be anything, defective part or a loose connection on something.

My opinion, everyone should have a generic code reader, they are cheap enough.

I wouldn't hesitate taking it to your dealer. They will take care of what is likely a simple problem.

Just press the OnStar button and ask the agent what the code is. One of the very few things the Onstar gadget is useful for.
