Really weird experience

Not to revive an older thread, but this same thing just happened to my '16 this morning. Like the OP after sitting parked for an hour, I re-started it and all seemed fine....
I already have an previously scheduled appointment next Tuesday for an oil change, the performance and Ventilated Seat update TSB and a fix for my rattling rear targa latch, so I will definitely ask the Technician to check for codes, etc.) but always feel its better to check with the Faculty here before taking it in...

I had a similar problem. Engine surged, gauges malfunctioned, no ac, no power steering and vehicle behaved as if it was running on 2 cylinders. It was fine after an hour. Search my thread, "First Major Issue..." Dealership has had my car since 08-22-2016, citing ebcm backordered...
