Seriously???
I jacked up my C7 this morning to pull off the rear wheels so I can have new tires mounted and was delighted to not have to rig something up to rest the car on and not damage the rockers. Lo and behold, there are those cool, little rubber jacking pads next to the rockers making it DIY-ready. I have Rocker Rails on my C5 to protect the rockers from damage and those preclude the use of removable or snap-in jacking pads. I've always used the Rocker Rails to jack or rest the car but it's very cool to not have to worry about if I have something ready just in case.
The more I get familiar with my new '14 Z51 M7 base, the more delighted I am with what Tadge and his team did with the C7. The little touches like these built-in jacking pads are signs that the design team listened to previous-gen owners and thoughtfully included features we had to go to the aftermarket for.
This may seem trivial to many here but I've been working on C5's for 14 years and I can't tell you how many times during a project I've thought, "Dave Hill did an awesome job on the C5 but if he only would have included . . . " I keep finding "those things" on the C7. There are compromises in every human-designed machine but as the Corvette evolves, it continues to get better and better.
I have been daily-driving my C7 to work for the past couple of weeks and it has decidedly impressed me with its performance, its refinement and the attention it has generated. Even the gas mileage I'm getting in my mileage-unfriendly commute has been a pleasant surprise. Not bad really compared to the 1.6L Mini Cooper S it replaced.
So, yes, I am thrilled with my C7. Many thanks to the C7 development team and to Tadge for keeping his vision alive all these years.
I left a set of pucks in my 2011 by accident when I traded it for my 2014. I remembered to remove the set on the '14 when I sold it to the dealer and ordered my '16 Z06.

The C7's are great cars and very livable as a daily driver, unless you live in a location that gets some extremely nasty weather.
Enjoy the car, they always put a grin on my face.
