Lots of misinformation here... The car can be set to beep, blink the lights or do nothing when you get out and the car locks itself. The choice is set on one of the menu threads. If, however, you get out leaving the fob in the car it will beep to remind you that the fob is still in the car and you have ~8 seconds before it is locked in forever; don't think you can shut that warning off. (It even beeps if I get out with the fob but my wife is still in the car with her fob.)

I put the car into acc. mode when fueling. I put the window down, and can listen to my music, and the gas door won't lock before I can pop it open. It doesn't beep , but it does ding when the door is opened. No big deal.
