When my car is running and i open the door and close it and walk away the vehicle beeps twice and its soo annoying lol. does anyone know how to turn that option off? i can't seem to find it in the manual
Mine does the same thing.I get out to put gas in it,after I finish I get back in the car and
Start it and get the double beep.Maybe A way to stop it but not sure.
I'd never ever leave the fob in the car.
1) Enables thief to drive off, and shutoff/start car at will.
2) There is always the potential for the door locks to malfunction, and then the car is locked with your fob inside. Calling OnStar to open it would be your only option, if equipped.

on top of that......how many times to you get out of the car to fill up and leave your phone IN the car....for me, EVERYTIME, thus calling On-Star is out of the question.
the whole reason it "beeps" at you is its the cars way to tell you that there is something "OFF NORMAL" .

Yeah when it does the double beep off normal,I know everything is fine except I stopped ,got out,got gas and got back in.

yep....and it doesn't do any good to keep your door open either when you get gas, even though you are standing right next to it.....it beeps at you when you get back in and start up.
It happens to me EVERY DAY....when I stop at our centralized mail boxes to get my mail in the afternoon, I get out, leave the car running, and as soon as I am a little ways from the car, it beeps at me.....I've just learned to deal with it, lol its like that car is telling me "hey buddy.....you left me running!!!!"

I pulled in the garage and turned the car off last week and got out but left the Fob in the car. Got the double beep. Keep Fob in my pocket now with no other issues. As stated the double beep is alerting you to something "off normal" from the cars perspective.

Since you guys appear to not like "gee gaws" in your cars you could buy old as I did and buy an '88 Ferrari - EVERYTHING is hands on. And the power steering from a dead stop is ALL THE POWER YOU CAN MUSTER!
I split the DD duties between the F-car and the C7.

You don't shut the car off when you get gas? It's the law here in MN to do so. Though, I don't know if it poses any threat either way.
I believe it's A fed law.Motor vehicle has to be off when fueling.I could be wrong.
They do say stay out of vehicle when fueling. They say static shock,A spark could cause A fire.

Having the gas cap off while running should trip a code.
