Can someone correctly explain what the button next to trunk button does? It's under console on right hand side. Thank you
I remember to use it every time I jack the car! After one pump on my hydraulic jack, the horn starts beeping! Doesn't take much movement to set it off. Push the button to shut off that feature. Resets when you start the car.
Inclination Sensor and Intrusion Sensor
In addition to the standard theft-deterrent system features, this system may also have an inclination sensor and intrusion sensor.
Intrusion and Inclination Sensors Disable Switch
It is recommended that the intrusion and inclination sensors be deactivated if pets are left in the vehicle or the vehicle is being transported.
The inclination sensor can set off the alarm if it senses movement of the vehicle, such as a change in vehicle orientation. Unlocking the driver door with the key will not disarm the system or turn off the alarm. The intrusion sensor monitors the vehicle interior, and can activate the alarm if it senses unauthorized entry into the vehicle’s interior

Wow, never knew this. I jacked my car up to install skirts and never set an alarm off!!!! But then again, I didn't know there were buttons located there! You learn so much on this forum!

If you had the fob in your pocket, you're all set and don't need to push any buttons.
Really? Mine never has and I've never used that button either. Lol, I wonder if my alarm even works.
the inside motion detector is disabled if the targa is off, or the vert top down.
With my '15 coupe in the garage with targa installed - but with the windows down.... I threw a hat into the car through the open window - and the alarm went off.

Not true for my car at least. I didn't know the car had a motion detector until I had the roof off and reached iside my car with the keys inside the house. I didnt touch the car, I was reaching for my radar detector and before my hand reached halfway the alarm went off.
Nope....when I jack up my car with the FOB in my pocket the alarm goes off. (i.e. when I have not pressed the above mentioned button)
Mine is the same. FOB in pocket and one pump on the jack is enough to have it beep! Doesn't take much movement.
Don't think it is a sensitive as the motion detector I installed in my '88. First time I parked in the airport the fellow at the pay booth (always parked my Vette's close to the pay booth, under a light and with a car cover) said it was beeping a lot on a windy night! Set it with less sensitivity after that!
Wow, I raised both sides, installed skirts and never had a beep! Can this system be turned off and on? Does this mean I don't have a functioning alarm?

Was your car locked, when you were raising the sides?
