I think most people, myself included paid that price for the navigation and the PDR happened to be included. I've used it a few times when doing some spirited driving, it's pretty neat but honestly unless you're a hardcore track enthusiast the PDR is a novelty item that doesn't add any value in the long run. I'm pretty sure very few people would have ordered this option by itself and GM seems to know that since they bundled it with the navigation to move PDR units by selling nav units.
Well I am about ready to part ways with my 2014 Z51 vert, going to order me a 2016 coupe. I have a few question for those that have this option. Is the Video data recorder worth the $1795.00 price? Do you use it much, if so how do you like it?
I have 3 minutes of backing out of my garage, 7 minutes of going down my drive way, 30 MINUTES of U of Fl coeds on campus! Not worth it in a DD! For me fun to show off-and thats it!

I was the exact opposite. I wanted the PDR without the Nav. I use the PDR most of the time and have used the Nav once on the drive back from the museum delivery. I do not take it to the track.
So I guess I'm one of the few. That's ok, I like to be different.
