Default 2016 C7 Option Code "5ZG"

Hello,

I've searched the forum and online quite a bit, but wasn't able to find what I was looking for.

Does anyone have actual photos of the 5ZG - OEM Carbon Fiber wheel center caps w/ crossed flags logo, which is an available option from the factory on 2016 C7's? I've ordered them on my 2016 C7 Z51 with the machined face wheels, but have no idea what they actually look like. I've seen ones online offered from other vendors, but not sure I've seen any pics of the OEM ones that come from the factory.

Anyone ordered these? If so, pics would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I ordered them for $210.00. On Ebay, they're $36 per cap, so it would be $144+ shipping, tax, etc.

So yes, I paid an extra $60 to have them pre-installed from the factory, along with not having to deal with ordering them and installing them separately.

What's an extra $60 on an $80k purchase?

Why so negative? How about if we try to be positive and encouraging to a new Corvette owner?

OP: Congratulations on your new C7! Hope it brings you years of enjoyment!

Worry free and no big deal with 60 dollars, I would do the same.

Thanks!! I take delivery in about 1-2 months. First ever vette for me! I'm already having trouble sleeping at night as the anticipation is slowly eating me alive

Once again, if anyone has these center caps and can provide a few pics of them on a C7 (especially with machined face wheels), I'll buy you a beer!

I believe that they are dealer installed. It will say so on your build sheet. In that case they will give you the original parts that came with the car. I got all the original parts when I ordered the logo package

I have the black machined face wheels on my '16. Just took delivery on Monday at Bowling Green. You will like the way they look. The pictures do not do them justice.

Didn't believe they actually put the word "Carbon" on them, but here they are on Chevrolet site:

It's unfortunate the GM charges so much for alternate styles when the alternate is simply different (vs. better) than what comes standard. A great example is the "Stingray" door sill trim. $275 to have the word "Stingray" instead of "Corvette"? Seems excessive. Same with $210 for alternate center caps and $595 for red or yellow calipers instead of the standard gray or black. I find it especially amusing that on a Stingray with Z51 you can "upgrade" the brake calipers from black to red for $595 but on a Z06 it costs the same $595 to get black instead of red. Same with the exterior badging; on a Stingray you pay $100 to change from chrome to Carbon Flash and on a Z06 you pay $100 to switch from Carbon Flash to chrome. Go figure.

Higher the bottom line, the more in commission right ? Very few if any floor sales persons would dissuade a customer from adding any bling that would increase the bottom line for either the dealership or their self.

These days, no. Most deals are now based on invoice and not M.S.R.P.

Mine came with the Corvette Racing (Jake) center caps ($210 option). The dealer gave me the original caps (flags with black background) in a sealed plastic bag. I actually like those better. Will probably turn them into some decoration for the garage one of these days.
