SMS Setting Problem
2016 3LT Z51. When i get a text on my iPhone 6, I hit the SMS icon and then I can play an audio of the text message. however, when i hit one of the pre-programmed responses, I am told via the screen that my iPhone is not set up to send responses. Has anyone encountered this problem?

IIRC, you can see the inbound text
Workaround - Siri (on my 4s) is really good at dictation.
Enable "hey Siri"
After doing so....
you should be able to reply to the text with "hey Siri". when Siri acknowledges, say "text (contact name) (message)"
. Siri will read it back.
ok the response and Siri will send it. all hands free.

The infotainment system is still wayyyy behind current smart phone technology.. I really dont understand why we still get this crappy touch screen on the Vette. Why can't we have a nice eaiser to use (less pressure) touch screen like every smart phone on the planet now has.

I don't know if CarPlay changes anything, but with my iPhone it was not a car problem, it was an iPhone problem. iPhone's are locked down and never allowed outgoing texts, but the CarPlay system might change that.
