I have a 2016 1LT Z51. I am having an issue with the MyLink system. My iPhone 6 paired up easily and seems to work fine for making calls. Once I end a phone call, instead of going back to Radio (either FM or XM radio), it is pulling up a random song I have on the iPhone and playing it over Bluetooth.
Anyone else seeing the same behavior? Google turns up one hit on another forum with the same symptoms.

Yes, I'm having some odd interactions with the phone as well but haven't had a chance to systematically go through what steps cause the problems. At least in one case, I think CarPlay had something to do with it, not just the Bluetooth connection.
This behavior is the same on my '15 C7 and '14 Chrysler 300 with my IP6 and iOS 9.2. I don't recall it being better in 9.1.
Any time there is an "audio output" (Waze alert, Google Maps, email chime, etc.) from the IP6, it force that audio over bluetooth and will trump whatever source is playing...then it will start playing some random song from my IP6 Music directory. It will do this even if I am streaming from Pandora or Rhapsody from my IP6 at the time, reverting to some song in my Music directory. I have not tried deleting all my stored music on my phone. Often when I start my C7 and had previously been listening to the radio, once the phone pairs...it starts playing a random song. My 300 is not that bad, but it too seems to "expect" music from the IP if any bluetooth sounds are forced through.

My '16 C7 and '15 Silverado were both fine until I updated to 9.2. I use the 'maps' almost daily on my truck since it doesnt have NAV and the HFP prompts worked great, never had one problem until the 9.2 update, the next day after the update both the Corvette and the truck would start playing iphone music after a bluetooth call or HFP map prompt.
Went back to 9.1 and all was fine. Just to make sure I wiped the phone and did a clean 9.2 install with no songs or other apps and it would go right to BT and nothing playing after a phone call no matter what the original source was when the call came in. Tried resetting/re-pairing the radios and phones several times as well.
Went back down to 9.1 and all has been well for the last few weeks. Since you cant get signed ios 9.1 anymore only choice is to wait for someone to fix it.
I have read where people with 9.1 and earlier were having issues with GM cars/trucks and changing the handoff settings or changing BT to 'headset' would fix it for some. And I'm sure some people have no problems with 9.2 for whatever reasons. Might be ATT/Verizon specific settings or something, who knows.
Either way I'll stick with 9.1 until GM or apple fixes it since it works perfect for me at the moment. You can google ios 9.2 and bluetooth and see its not just GM cars/trucks that are having problems.
As I stated earlier I found this problem with my IPad and at first the GM tech said he had an Ipad and it worked Ok> He drove from Maryland to Pa. and met me at my house. It wasn't the amount of songs. I only had 7200 songs total. The problem starts when you have more than 5 PLAY LIST. His IPad had about 400 songs and a few play list and when he plugged his IPad into the usb port The thing worked OK. When he plugged my IPAD in with 45 Play list It Failed. So he went back to Maryland and made 40 play list and 7400 songs and he couldn't get the songs to play. He than took pictures of the infotainment system to show to the engineers but they still can't figure it out. Apple has nothing to do with this. All manufactures have to write to apple specs. Apple produces a product and if somebody want's to use an Apple product than they have to make it work with there system. Apple won't engineer for another manufacture.I still haven't found out why GM removed all of the supported products from the infotainment manual.
Apple has provided updates that make current working systems obsolete. Apple is so advanced that nothing else works. Solution don't do updates. My iPad is having trouble working the Jeppesen electronic charts that we use to navigate our aircraft. The system currently is so slow that needed info is; who knows how long till it shows. While we are waiting the aircraft is traveling seven miles a minute. Not happy!
I have an iPhone 6 running IOS 8.1.1 which works flawlessly with my 2015 C7 and 2016 Silverado. I do not plan to upgrade the phone until this issue has been resolved,

Reason: I have begun to experience this problem on my 16 Silverado
Some people have found a work around for the issue by turning off Siri. iOS 9.3 beta 1 doesn't resolve the issue. Have submitted the issue to Apple using their bug reporting service. Turning off Siri doesn't resolve the issue on 9.3B1. YMMV.

The problem seems to be with the Apple car play and the IPhone. Unfortunately, I don’t own an IPhone yet. All of my Apple devices worked fine in my 2013 C6. When I bought the 2016 C7 none of the Apple devices worked properly, nor did they work according to the infotainment manual. After the GM TAC tech mirrored my devices and tried to operate them he realized the only compatible device was an IPhone and that IPhone had to be plugged in with a lightning cable. Blue tooth wasn’t that good. He even documented this on the service slip. He notified the GM engineers with documentations and videos that he had taken from his IPhone. My devices all work great in my Audi A6 and my Hyundai. Let me also say that the tech plugged all of my devices in a 2016 Tahoe with Apple play and found the same problems. He also plugged all devices in a 2015 C6 and they all played fine. I don’t think this is an Apple problem due to the fact that in the back of the infotainment manual Apple states this agreement, and the fact that GM has removed all Apple supported devices from its manuals sort of takes Apple out of the picture. If you don’t support the device, you can’t expect it to work. This is why I sued GM under the lemon and won. I feel every one that has a problem with their infotainment System should sue them if the infotainment system means that much to you. I love this car and I love this product but I refuse to be told just go out and buy an IPhone or a usb flash drive. This is my Corvette and it’s embarrassing to have a new Vette and a half *** infotainment system. I don't believe that GM was ever fully certified for Apple products. If they were they wouldn’t of settled with me in 2 weeks, and they wouldn’t have removed all of the Apple supported devices from their manuals.

Use the lemon law. GM should know better. In fact I can't sue GM again but a class action lawsuit should be brought against them. To me all cars should work according to the owners manual but for me the Corvette is special. This should never happen and when something does happen that's not mechanical it should be just as important to fix it in a timely manner.

OK. We've heard enough. Somehow Apple updates software which causes a compatibility problem with lots of cars from a number of manufacturers and somehow that make the car qualify as a lemon. Sure, that makes sense to me. Utterly absurd.
