sounds like they got a lot of things right about the car. Looks pretty good from the side, but it's a porker and the front looks like it crashed thru a big old chain link fence..........................

Actually looks like BUBBA got the grille from the dump and Gorilla Glued it in.

I hate the "giant sized" grill fad that we're going through right now (thanks for nothing, Audi!), but even within that genre the Lexus grills are the worst of the bunch, and this is worse than most of the production Lexus grills. Lexus could make a car that performs like a Ferrari 488, and sell it for $75K, and I couldn't force myself to buy it if it looked remotely like this car.
I don't like it either, and I own a Lexus. BUT, this is a scary moment for Corvette. Lexus has the name to compete head to head with Corvette. Toyota reliability is well known. If this is their best effort, nothing to be concerned about. If this is their first effort and they intend to grow from there, they might create a serious competitor.
INHO,it looks good from the side, acceptable from the rear but just plain awful from the front. Did Lexus higher the folks from GM that designed the Aztec?

I'm not a big fan of the large mouth bass design feature that seems to be popular with a number of auto manufacturers. But it must sell as G.M and other late comers are going the same way.
My guess is that it'll go through some visual toning down prior to actual production. Either way, I really don't see any more 'copying' than the industry norm of oscillating between smooth curves and sharp accents for body lines.

I bought an HHR and my daughter bought a Lexis in 2006. The Lexis was a POS. The car was recalled for brake problems 3 times, Then the rotors went - not covered. Then there were issues with it not wanting to start. Then the passenger window went down in the middle of a heavy rain storm and stayed down. Moon roof leaked - a common problem according to the dealer. She now has a Malibu. Two years and no problems.
After 9 years I had to change the thermostat on the HHR, plus the tires wore out at 50k miles. Other than that it's been no issues.
The perceived quality of the imports is not close to reality. VW has proven that.... Show me a BMW that has 50k miles with the original water pump.. not the $1500 replacement.
The car reminded me of a Hugo, only the Hugo had less problems.

You think so? RC-F has the same hp as the corvette and it is a huge failure performance-wise in comparison to the competition. So far this is the same horsepower rating with the LC500 and an expected curb weight of 4300 lbs for $90k ? Yeah, this won't perform at all with the corvette. They are going for the 650i with this one, same price, same weight, same hp. With that, I think the RC-F is much better looking. Neither come close to the 6 series looks.
Sports car vs luxury coupe. Totally different classes really.
