Exhausted with this!
I love the miles on your rigs. Nice to see you enjoy them. I wish I was that way too. I can't stand to have them all covered up in the garage, but I understand some folks get pleasure from that. So be it.

I did the wireless remote "fuse pull" mod. When I'm driving locally, I generally leave it with the valves open. But when the wife is in the car, or I'm going to be droning down the highway for a long time, I can quiet things down. The best of both worlds.

Heh ........ This ought to be interesting to say the least. Forget not that I am running a CAI and headers. Guess we'll see what happens.

Well, the fuse is pulled.

I had the NPP on my Z51 and hated the valve issue...even with the fuse pulled. I finally gave up and went with the Corsa Extreme and X-Pipe. I've had them on the car for 3 weeks now, and it is amazing. There is no drone, and the car sounds like it should from the factory. I have gotten so many compliments just in the past 3 weeks its ridiculous. My wife loves the sound too.

My previous C6 had an A6, NPP and a mild to wild switch. On the freeway, the drone was horrible with the valves open. For my C7 I have an A8. I pulled the fuse within the first few weeks and expected the same amount of drone. I was presently surprised that there is no such drone as I had on my C6. In fact, there is virtually no drone in the 1600-1800 rpm range as my C6 had. Love having the sound wild 100% of the time!
I pulled the 42 yesterday, as I mentioned previously in the thread, and went for a ride on the roads and had no drone that I could detect. Maybe I couldn't hear it over the tire noise.

Drove several 2014 C7s and was able through engine management to keep the exhaust at its loudest regardless of driving mode. Went to the dealer yesterday and drove a manual 2016. Put it in sport mode and that had a disappointingly quiet exhaust note. Engine management no longer has the same options. You have to just pick a mode or stealth. Am I not understanding something here? I want maximum loud like the npp on my 2014 2SS Camaro. Now the new Camaro seems to have same exhaust scenario as vette though they call it dual mode/npp on both. Someone please exp!ain if the new C7 is different so far as exhaust sound. Thanks!
