Hey folks on the east coast and mid-west, what do you prefer when our machines are resting for the winter an empty tank, half tank, or full tank of gas? I've read various opinions on this, but want to take it to the forum amongst other vette owners!!!

Hmm, have always seen comments about keeping it full to avoid moisture accumulating and condensing in the air space with temperature changes.
That's what I do with my Street Rod that mostly is brought to Car Shows! Fill it up after each drive and add a matching amount of Sta-Bil for the gasoline added.
Make sure the gas tank is 95% full when stored (leave some room for expansion when the weather gets warmer). This prevents open space in the tank that can allow condensation to form and run into the fuel under certain atmospheric conditions. A full tank greatly reduces the risk of this occurring. Some people will advise you to empty your gas tank for before storing a vehicle. Empty gas tanks will accumulate condensation and you will have water in the tank over time. I would NEVER advise anyone to store a vehicle with an empty tank UNLESS they were prepared to drain the water out before use. Very hard to do for most cars. The additive I use is Startron: http://mystarbrite.com/startron/

Fill it up and add Sta-bil while filling to get a good mix...then drive it about 20 miles....that is to make sure the additive gets into the fuel system and to draw down the fuel in the tank to leave room for expansion....OR...you could ship here to me in Florida and I'll drive it once a week to keep it smiling....

Ha Ha, Instead of shipping it, I'll just take your word for it...
A product like Sta-Bil is very important if your gas contains any Ethanol as Ethanol strongly attracts moisture. Less important if your gas is Ethanol free.
Full tank no additives, but if it makes you feel better add some like many others do.
Been doing it this way for my '69 Z/28 for 14 years without issue. Did the same for my Pontiac G8 GT as well without issue and owned it for 6 years...Now practicing the same method for my hibernating C7.

With ethanol, having as little in the tank is best as the stuff really degrades quickly.
If you have a temperature controlled garage that you can always keep the humidity under 40%, as close to empty is the best choice. If not, then full.
Either way add some stabilizer to the tank.
My garage is 68-70 degrees all winter long and about 30% humidity - I leave it 1/8 tank or less.

Full tank with Sta-Bil. Of course I try to drive as often as possible and put fresh gas in. These fuels are junk now adays, Get fresh fuel in as often as possible.

I don't think that's correct. The fuel system in the car is sealed, and the only way for gas, with or without ethanol, to attract water is to have air in the tank, ie, not full of fuel, so filling the tank, and adding sta-bil just to be safe, is the best way to go.
