When you order the rim tape make sure you pay attention to the width.
I did mine twice because the 1/4" wide tape looked too wide.
I would choose a width between 1/8" and 7mm.

You can do it!
You did a great job. I'm very interested in giving this a go. Thanks!

You answered my question before I could even ask. Thanks, that information will help a lot!

Your car is pretty much (I have a different top) the same as mine. I would agree about the side skirts, and the mats(I ordered mine in AR should arrive today). I have already bought a 2nd steering wheel from the vendor listed (turns out they are about 50 miles away from me), to send out to DCT Motorsports (they have done a lot of wheels for me), I am very particular about the way the wheel feels. Will add the paddles to it. I have called my clear bra guy to add paint protection and install stinger stripe. Ctek charger is a good idea as well. I am looking into a couple other things (my car is already under its cover for winter with 34 miles on it), I had a Halltech CAI on my C6Z06 (liked it) and I see Acrapovic makes a system that works the same way as the exhaust on the Z51. Sorry did not mean to get carried away, hope your car gets to you soon enjoy and congrats.

Mine is the 1/4 inch. Personal preference but I think it's the right size.

I recommend a rear bumper protector such as this:

http://www.zip-corvette.com/14-16-c7...protector.html

This is worth it's weight in gold. If you ever use the rear end to carry ANYTHING, this will prevent much hate and discontent. I have the Z51 spoiler, and this has prevented any damage due to putting things in and taking them out.

Rear bumper protector $87.95.........large thick moving blanket $6.99.

Buy the moving blanket, use the excess funds of other stuff.

3 pocket cargo net from fleabay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Zone-Tech-Black-Mesh-Three-Pocket-Trunk-Cargo-Organizer-Storage-Net-/281269922472?hash=item417cfe6aa8
Fits well in the back and keeps things from flying around. The net you get is a POS.

Beautiful car! Don't worry, the wait will soon be over, but it is frustrating!

Like others have said:
* Skirts - got mine from RPI painted CF to match the other CF on my car. Other forum vendors are good too.
* Front splitter - got the Z06 'poverty' splitter. I painted it CF myself, but I think the original dark grey would have also worked.
* GM splash guards
* Personal preference, but I really like the looks of the Z06 grill so I installed it two weeks ago.
* Rim tape - I have DSOM so I did my black wheels in DSOM. Red (to match your calipers) would look great on your car. From Tape Works.
* Lloyd mats; front and cargo
* I installed Crazy Cowboys (aka Exotic Vette) sound deadening in mine - works really well.

Lots of other stuff you can do. Good to support the forum vendors - in my experience they have better pricing and give great service. Whatever you end up with, you're going to love your car!

This is a good item but I just have a large white cotton towel stored in my hatch area.

The beauty of this item is that it hooks to the carpet, so I can deploy it with one hand, unlike a towel or blanket, which is helpful when my arms are full. When done loading, it folds back over and can help keep cargo from sliding around. It rolls up when not in use.

I have used this item for ten years on my C6 vert (and 4 years on my Z06), and because it has a plush backing, it has never scratched, only protected. There are many versions which don't have an embroidered crossed flag and are less $. In fact, for 18 months, I just used the old one from my Z06, but my daughter gave me a C7 version for Christmas.
