I ordered one. Doesn't really look much more time consuming than an inside shade once you're used to it I guess. And covering all the glass looks like it would work better.

Man, I hate to rag on what should be a fantastic product. I will simply relate my $0.02. I ordered one, thinking it perfect for my C6 GS. My new job is the first one without covered parking, and it is July / August in central Texas. 102F daily. Some type of protection is required.

I ordered my Cali Pop Top July 7, and received it promptly. I watched the videos, did a trial install / remove in my garage. I went to work the next day, happy with the new protection. It was windy, very windy, unusually windy, that first day. At lunch, all was good. When I left work around 6:30, the pop top was peeled all the way off, hanging by the trunk catches, and flailing on the black top parking lot. The inside, car-facing side was now filthy, but fortunately, only the window area was on the ground.

I used it for another couple of weeks. It peeled off on two other occasions, and it was pulled from under the wipers but still in place by the rear-views a couple of other times. When it stayed on (which was most of the time), it kept my car remarkably more cool than without it. But as an external solution, it gets bird droppings, dirt, rain and grime, and I have to wash my hands after I put it on, and I'm not certain how I'd handle it in a good rain shower (you are not getting inside your vehicle with the pop-top in place, and it you put it over a wet surface ....). And with the not-covering-my-vehicle-reliably feature, I don't favor leaving my windows cracked.

BTW, if your mirrows fold in (the GS mirrors are hinged), all you need do is bump the mirror to fold in inwards, and the pop-top will easily come off. This is what happened that first time, but not the latter times.

Your mileage WILL vary, and I hope y'all get better results.

I have a brand new C7 GS. I will not be reordering the pop-top.

Default cover the dash

Since it is near impossible to completely block the sun, I usually just cover the dash and steering wheel with my aluma-flex window shade.
The basic idea is to keep the dash components from absorbing the sun heated air. Since my car is a convertible, I usually park with the top down and the side windows up. Works well enough for me. I also tilt
the seat backs forward. Another method to minimize the sun heating the seat backs. Seems to work ok for me. The temps around Williamsburg have seen heat index values in the 110-118 range for the last couple weeks. Not much will protect anything from the heat at those temps.
