Thanks for your comment. I have to say this is the one feature I wasn't quite sold on. Researching it here and speaking with many folks sold me on it.
I've driven a few cars with a Mag Ride equivalent (including my wifes Regal GS) but I find the differences small. It seems like the C7 version is far advanced.

The Corvette with mag ride is essentially several cars in one. It's a lot of fun to compare the differences in road feel. Personally, I would not order a vette without it.
If you post your complete VIN I can help you. One digit is missing.
The missing digit has to be a "1" after the "G' since all C7's start with 1G1Y. Therefore, the correct VIN is 1G1YM2D72E5118614, which makes it a 2014 3LT Z51 Coupe with the A6 tranny.

Thanks, John.
In addition to the above, the car has FE4 Magnetic Selective Ride Control, personalized plaque with name and VIN, visible carbon fiber roof, battery protection package, carbon fiber interior trim, sueded microfiber upper trim and seat inserts, red brake calipers, performance exhaust, black painted wheels, indoor vehicle cover, Stingray logo wheel center caps, Carbon Flash painted outside mirrors and rear spoiler, Stingray door sill plates, and premium floor mats.
My wife has a 2014 Z51 convertible with mag ride. It rides more harsh than my C6 ZO6 without mag ride. I have changed the suspension settings on my wife's car from "weather" all the way through "Track" and can't tell from seat of the pants feel that there is any difference.
A friend owns an auto repair shop and has a diagnostic scanner. It has somewhat limited capability but it will read the output from the suspension module to the shocks. We hooked it to my wife's car and went on a test drive. We found a section of road where there was a sweeper curve that we could run at 62 mph. We tried all the settings and recorded the output from the suspension module. There is a large difference in output from mode to mode so I'm convinced the computer is working properly.
I'm still concerned that I can't tell the difference "seat of the pants". I guess the shocks could be defective but I find that hard to believe. So far I haven't figured out a way to test them.

I agree that the 2014 C7 Z51/mag ride I drove, rode about the same in tour as my 08Z. That 08Z was a roughing riding SOB on all but mainly smooth roads. Great handling and "one with the car feeling" with that nice 427 motor, but too rough a ride for me. That plus the solid fixed roof, is why I got rid of it.
