My neighbor's kid had a jacked up truck with loud exhaust he would crank up every morning a 5 am. When I think of it I go fire up the Corvette with the NPP open at 5am.
My neighbors enjoy my C7, and I have given rides to many. There are a bunch of kids in the area and they all love it and get rides.
The best thing is that the guy 2 doors down is a Mustang owner, has been for the last 9 years, but he kept looking at my Vettes in the driveway....well he broke down last weekend and bought a used one.
It is a '77 and really clean, louder than mine in track and it is nice looking. Kind of a silver blue, somewhat like Carlisle blue with white interior. Brings back memories for me.
I ALWAYS tell the neighbor kids to stay in school, get an education, a good job and you too can have a nice car. You can see their minds working after hearing that!
My neighbors like the car...They come over and ask questions and some even come to drag races with me from time to time. Next door neighbor has an old stingray in premium condition and he come out to the Hamptons with us. Its good to have good neighbors.
My next door neighbor has an older Z06 (Maybe C5) that isn't in great shape but he purposely accelerates hard and fast when going past my house. I live on the corner and he does this at all hours of the night and it's very loud. Boy is he going to be surprised when my new Z06 is delivered later this week! I think its payback time. Other than that I plan on keeping the exhaust very toned down when in my neighborhood. I don't want to **** them off.
The idiot family across the street is jealous of new garbage cans so i can only guess what the C7, C4 and my son's Vettes are doing to their collective brain. Others have complimented the collection. I keep a low profile as the neighbors are generally Corolla, Civic, etc types.
My neighbors are the type that look at it when they think I'm not looking at them look at it.
The first time I saw one of the C7s a couple of years ago I was absolutely left in awe. That car was all I could think about. I constantly tried to justify buying something that was impractical and expensive. I had he money, but I'm real frugal and tight with the dollar. I finally caved in and bought one. I have never felt better about a decision like this in my life.
My wife says I'm a real piece of work. And she's right. To sum it up I'm glad the neighbors like to look at it. I'm glad to get that all off my chest. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
We enter our garages through an alley, and a lot of us have sliding gates across the end of our driveways, so I don't think many people know what anyone else drives. I am glad my next door neighbor, bless her heart, is hard of hearing.
My next door neighbor has a sweet Black 2006 Z06, the one on the corner has a big block NA dragster that he just pulled a 7.96 in at Sac Raceway last weekend, and the one on the other corner has two really loud Mustang's. All the people here carry guns and love fast loud cars, it's like heaven on earth The only neighbor that was mad at me, was the one with the dragster, because he really wants one! LOL

Wait, guns and fast cars, and you live in California?!
A younger couple recently moved in next door, I know the guy really liked my Centennial Edition, I'm sure he'll love the C7. Haven't spoken with the Mrs yet, but I keep strange hours with my rotating work schedule.
On the other side of me it's been the same couple for over 10 years, we talk on a semi-regular basis. I'm pretty sure the Mrs on that side is the only reason he doesn't have a vette of his own.
Not many younger kids in the neighborhood to speak of, but whenever I'm tinkering in the driveway they all seem to meander a bit closer.
They're indifferent. They have what they have and I have what I have.
Yep. Mine too. Don't think it's ever come up in conversation except my next-door neighbor saying "I see you're washing your car again". (He's a very nice guy; probably thinks I'm crazy for washing my cars so often though)
