Default Interior Swap?

So i'm still looking to get into a Slightly used C7. I really want white exterior and black interior but all i ever find is White with Red interior. I'm not really a huge fan of red and wanted to see how hard it would be to just swap the red with black? I think its just the seats and a little of the door panels. I would assume it wouldn't be to expensive.

Finding someone to trade with is the way to go. Buying replacement seat covers and door panels would be very pricey and not cost effective. I wouldn't trust a dye to last based on my C5 experience.

Replacement oem seat covers cost ~$800 total. Swapping new covers on your existing seats takes an afternoon. That's how I solved this concern for my C7.

Your plan would work a lot better if you were able to do the swap your self rather than paying someone to remove and then re install the new seats and interior parts. The door panels are one piece and you just can't change out the arm rests. I checked the prices for the door panels and they are expensive. Good luck.

RaysLilVette, I'm sure you're aware or somewhat aware that the three levels of interiors are different. I don't know all the differences but I know that between 1LT and 2LT, there is a C7 logo in the seatback on the 2LT that is not on the 1LT. There are major differences between 3LT including more red on the door panels running into the dash. Here's a pick of my 2LT interior for you to use as a reference. Maybe someone else can post a 1LT and a 3LT for reference. Hope this helps.

Did you ever attemp it?
I'm in the same boat, but since mine is 1 LT, going from gray to black only requires the seat and carpet. Not cheap, but doable.

White exteriors with red interiors has been the thing for a long, long time. I don't remember ever seeing a white Vette with a black interior. I happen to like a red interior.

If you have a 1LT with red int. then your best bet would be to switch to black and sell your red on-line to re-coup your loses.

There are AW C7's with black interior, may take a while to find one, but there are sliver and black cars that have black interior who might be up for a swap. Along with the grey cars.

You should not have any problem finding black parts for your C-7

It's a pain to remove some of the trim pieces and if you pay someone be prepared for a large bill. There are cheap plastic clips holding most of the trim pieces in place. If you pull the wrong way or even look at them wrong the clips break. It's doable but a pain. I would just be patient and your perfect car will appear if you look hard enough.
