I would like opinions on a rear diffuser. No experience with them, but want one really bad. For me that would be the single most visual addition to add to my car. What is the best bang for the buck out there? And what are any recommendations you can make. What do you think? Thanks.
Another vote for WeaponX here. Installed it last spring. Great quality and draws lots of positive comments.
I see it is recommended a body shop install it. Is that what you did? It is really nice looking but that would be the only carbon fiber piece on my car. I guess I could get the more expensive one.

I was able to install it myself with the assistance of my son (we aren't body shop people). There were a couple of issues, but I chalk those up as not being an expert in body panel removal.
Otherwise it was pretty easy following the instructions.

I say that only because it is an inflexible piece vs. the OEM unit, which can bend anyway needed to fit properly. The back of the car is held on by a row of screws inside the hatch, a couple of bolts behind the license plate, 3 clips on each side, and some bolts on the bottom. So, the diffuser piece can vary a few mm any direction when going on due to all of the different attachment points. This has caused some guys fits installing; whereas, a body shop is used to hanging sheet metal and aligning parts. Also, if there is a slot that needs elongated, a bolt that needs shimmed etc if it wasn't hanging just right, they'd know how to do it.
Nothing against a DIY guy, I try to tackle all I can, but unless you're just used to something like this, you can save yourself the headache by having someone used to doing this get it on easily.
