Pricing is going to vary depending on where you live and the demand for clear bra…

For a partial front end. This includes 18-24” up the hood and fenders, front bumper, mirrors and sometimes headlights. This ranges from $795 - $1,000.

Whichever product you select make sure they don't use a "pre-cut" clear bra kit, will look TERRIBLE, you will see clear bra lines everywhere! Also, If you plan to have the rocker panels done, make sure the quote includes removing the film GM installs in front of the rear wheels, not only is the film crap it looks horrible.

One last point; just remember clear bra is not perfection, it's protection.
The same saying of "not installers are created equally" go towards the pre-cut kits. Our installers have the option to wrap the edges and extend the kit with our pattern software. That way there a no seams where possible. Meaning that the hood edges are wrapped over the panel, etc.

Yes, make sure you have them remove the factory pieces, our rocker kit allows for maximum coverage of the entire panel.

Most films are going to be 8mils thick

There are other brands, but just to list the most commonly mentioned products:

XPEL ULTIMATE

3M Scotchguard Pro

Suntek

We used to install Xpel until we discovered the difference in the two.
Xpel adhesive is very prone to stretch marks & lift lines...appears as distortions in the film.
We tested all films on black paint & took before/after measurements using our DOI meter.
Suntek won every category in gloss, distinctness of image, specular reflectance, & reflective image quality.
SunTek raises the bar higher...a new standard has been set!
informed info from world class shop...tks Esoteric

I had Xpel Ultimate installed on my front nose bumper and splitter.
Only b\c it is the latest stuff being pushed.

I previously had 3M Venture Shield on my '08. (full front, full hood, front fenders, mirrors). At the time, that was around $1,500 I believe.
It looked good as new 8 yrs later when I sold it.

I used the same installerthis time---8 yrs ago, VS was "the best, use nothing else"...now it's crap I guess? It held up perfectly for me, (about 45k miles when sold).

I noticed all the products out there now come with a 5-10 yr max warranty...
Venture Shield came with a lifetime warranty.
Not sure what has changed in the longevity area...I guess the mfgs realized they could get more business if they made the product not last as long!

Either way, the stuff is not cheap to have installed as you start adding on different areas.

For price comparison, here is what my local installer quoted me last year...

VEHICLE SPECIFIC COMPUTER CUT PATTERNS & PRICING

The following are our most popular options for your vehicle with your total price (*no additional taxes or fees unless specified). You can measure back from the furthest most forward part of the hood to get an idea of the upper coverage area. Keep in mind 24", 18" and so on signify the material roll size. So the actual pattern will be slightly less than that measurement. Please refer to the link above for your vehicle showing the actual Design Kits associated with the part numbers below:

• Custom Door Handle Cup Protection (area behind door handle that often gets scratched)= $20/door *included free of charge with either front package above

• Extended Coverage Rocker Panel Kit- Full Rockers, Lower Doors, Front Wheel Splash Guards/Lower Front Fenders, Extended Rear Splash Guards/Full Rear Bumper Sides *incl. removal of factory coverage (P0604BA-U)= $550.00 total * -$50 Credit (for unneeded Front Fender pcs if installing Full Front Fenders)= $500.00
