I know the A8 is faster in a drag race, but its interesting the Top Gear review says its 1 to 2 seconds faster at AMP road course. And that they would choose the A8. Makes me feel better if I decide not to waiting for an M7. Have they improved the GS A8 cooling over the 2016 Z51? Since the Z51 has had trans temp issues on the road course.
I dunno.. I'm still afraid of the A8. when its my turn, I don't know which way I'm going.. I know I wont be able to handle having my $70K car being in the shop more than I drive it if this A8 mess is still lingering...

Melting Slicks
So I watched a bunch of the videos from AMP. They are not all Z07 package cars and there is at least one A8. Here is a video of the A8 doing a lap.

Another article: http://arstechnica.com/cars/2016/07/...e-grand-sport/
That article was one of the better written ones. He gave a better explanation of what cars they drove and real world how they drove.

I'd love to know the best lap times from Oliver Gavin for both the M7 & A8.

Gotta love Autoblogs ending message, "want a car with near-supercar performance that you'll enjoy even as it's challenging you, spend for the Grand Sport with the Z07 package."

"While the Z06 is still great fun on a track, and a true beast between the stop lights, it’s the Grand Sport that offers what you seek from a dual-natured track and street machine. It’s the best current Corvette in the lineup, hands down.
Oh… and the temp gauge didn’t move from dead center the entire time. Try that in your Z06."
I'd be curious to see what all changes show up (beyond the PCV re-route on all 2017 Z51/GS that we have already seen) in the 2017 Z06 given Tadge's statement and all the delays so far.

Jalopnik:
"Right now, Chevrolet has a fairly amazing lineup of cars for people who love driving...it’s the Grand Sport that emerges as the purest sports car in entire family.
If you opt for the Stingray Z51, you’ve made a good choice. It’s a car that manages to straddle the sports car/grand tourer line very well. If you’ve got the cash to spend on a Z06, you’ve also made a strong choice because the most powerful Corvette ever made is parked menacingly in your garage. For those of you that decide on the Grand Sport, what you’ve done is make the right choice.
While the Z51 is more than acceptable out on the race track, it’s nowhere near as wonderful as the Grand Sport or the Z06 because it’s just not as fast or as sharp an instrument.

Does anyone know when M7 GS will come off constraints?
