Default 2014 value

I can't believe i have had my stingray over 2 years already. Since i have purchased it I have only put 11000 miles on it. However It pretty much just sits and around and was considering to sell it for a house down payment on top of the profit made from my previous home(sold due to relocation) can come close to a cash offer for home but would still need a mortgage.

Car is paid for which i still can't believe i have title in hand. First corvette paid for. But anyway I haven't been on here in a long time so to remind, I have the 2014 CGM M7 2LT with NPP and Navigation and just under 11k miles on the ticker. I originally told my potential home lender that the car is worth without an appraisal somewhere in the ballpark of around 40k is this an accurate assumption or will it be a little more or less. I have snooped the car websites and seen where this car with similar specs going for around 50k but I am not thinking i can get close since i paid 56 for it.

At this point am just curious, I don't want to go to carmax because even though they say no pressure but when i see the number on the paper it becomes tempting then.

Thanks in advance

You can always check the blue book value on it, http://www.kbb.com/ -- But to me I'd think it would sell pretty quick for 40k

$40K is too low. Selling privately, I'd put the price at around $47K, but accept offers of around $44K to $45K. Yes, the 2014 has depreciated, but the only cars I've seen in the low 40s were rebuild titles, lemon law recall or higher mileage (over 40K miles).

I sold my 2014 base 3lt last month. I went to carmax first and they offered me $46,000, which I thought was a pretty strong offer from them. I ended up selling to another car lot for $46,500. I would definitely start with carmax. Their offer is good for seven days.

Start off with CarMax. I sold my C-6 to them and was very happy with their offer.

When I was selling my C6, an extremely well kept 2006 Monterey Coupe they offered me $ 2500.00 less than the local Chevy dealer and told me that I need to replace the 2 month old tires, with maybe 1000 miles on them, because they weren't the original Goodyears. I wouldn't go back to those crooks for a pair of roller skates.

No magnetic ride control? That will hit your value pretty hard as well. No real point in having a Z51 without MRC as you don't get PTM to use that fancy expensive electronic rear diff.

I have just been thru this exercise and my car is equipped as yours except it has A6, rear deck spoiler, 13000 mi. I am sitting on a cash offer of $44k from CarMax. Trade value from 3 dealers in my area range from $44,500-$47,000.

Where are you located? I've sold 2 vehicles to Texas Direct in the last year for CRAZY money. It's how I pretty much financed my C7. They love clean late model rides and mods don't bother them.

A buddy recently sold his 2014 2LT convertible for 60k. Good luck!

I have sold many cars to Carmax. Hassle free, their check is good, and offer is usually quite fair. Couple thousand $ less than private, but no yahoos to deal with, including time.

He didn't say he had the Z51 option.

It sure would, at that price, which is at least $5k below market value.
